Shakira Isabell Mebarak Ripoll was born on February 2 1977 in Barranquilla, Colombia. From the age of five he showed artistic attitudes, demonstrating his talent in interpreting Arabic dances and songs. Shakira signed his first record contract with Sony Music Colombia, a label for which he recorded his first album in 1991 called, "Magic" with songs that he had composed between the ages of eight and thirteen. One of his singles, "Hips Don't Lie", with the collaboration of rapper and producer Wyclef Jean, was the best-seller in 2006; it reached number 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart and made Shakira the only Colombian artist to do so. In the 2010 Soccer World Cup South Africa she was the interpreter of the official song of the sporting event “Waka Waka” (This Time For Africa), and it was one of her biggest hits in Latin America, Spain aIn November 2011 Shakira received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and later at the Latin Grammy Awards, the academy honored her as the winner of the prestigious Award for her artistic achievements as well as her philanthropic contributions. On July 13, 2014 , Shakira sang along with the Brazilian musician Carlinhos Brown at the Closing Ceremony of the 2014 Brazil Soccer World Cup at the Maracana Stadium the song “La La La”.

In January 2018 she won her third Grammy Awards with the album “El Dorado”, being the only Latin artist to do so. He won it in the category of Best Latin Pop Album. Sales of the album reached 4,000,000 copies worldwide and the rest of Europe.
